Summer Trip: TOKYO (Part I)

Hello! I'm back again after my long holiday which was busy with uni and stuff.
Around one week ago I just got back from Japan, seeing how my brother's doing.
If you haven't heard about it, my brother is currently working in Japan right now.
How? When he was in University of Indonesia, he got a chance to study in Japan for one year to Keio University and worked part-time in several company. Before his graduation, he applied to kind of Japan Job Fair which is opened for all around Asia. Now he's working in consulting group.

We departed at 28 June 2016 to Kuala Lumpur first and departed to Narita midnight. We landed in Narita around 7 AM (GMT +9). Japan is quite hard for us, international tourists. So, you need to prepare yourself. Why? Even the officers in Narita Airport cannot speak English fluently. So sad, I wish they could fix it. Some of them speak English but tbh it's really hard to understand because their dialect is sooo Japanese :(

Anyway, we went to Tokyo by train. Don't hope for taxi because taxi is so freakin' expensive, costs around JPY 40.000++ or  IDR 5 million to Tokyo (Narita-Tokyo is quite far). So make sure your luggages aren't really heavy or big, except if you join a tour.

FYI, just because it's summer, doesn't mean you don't have to bring jackets. When rainy, Tokyo is cold enough. Rainy day in Tokyo is around 20˚C and the Sunny day is around 34˚C. With only summer clothes like tshirts, cami, shorts, beach dresses, it's cold to walk outside. Don't forget to bring your umbrella or a hat and you better check your weather forecast frequently.

We stayed in my brother's apartment in Bunkyo, 650 meters from Nishi-Nippori Station. Spot the Tokyo Sky Tree?

First day was tiring so we slept all day and went grocery shopping only. The second day, we went to Nezu Shrine and I spotted the Shiba Inu and a fat cat! Nezu Shrine has the red gate which is very similar with the Fushimi Inari.

Me and my father decided to go to Rikugien Garden while my mom came home.

When we went home, we bought a pizza from Domino's Pizza. Surprisingly the taste is suuuper nice. I ordered the Margherita one and it costs JPY 2500 or around IDR 270.000 for the medium one which is pricey since in Indonesia, Domino's price is just around IDR 60.000-100.000. Second day, we went to Ueno Park and Zoo! Ueno Zoo has pandas by the way, that's why they're quite famous.

So adorable

I'll talk about another day later. Thank you for reading!
