My Not-so-Skincare Routine

Hi.
After a long long time finding myself busy with college's life, so here I am, on a 3 months holiday, tryna to get back my mood to write about something. I'll be talking about my-super-simple-and-basic skincare routine and answering questions about products i used. Also, I'll continue the second part of Japan Trip later.

But first of all, my skin type is normal and not sensitive. Just a normal oily on T-zone but not too much, enough to makes it look dewy. The skin-troubles of mine are quite normal too, such as visible pores, blemishes, and some of them included scars and dark spots. Exactly, my main problem is the dark spots and scars concentrated on my forehead.

Facial Wash
Image result for cetaphil

I've been using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for about 6 months and the result is amazing. I like how smooth that is and you can just simply rub it on your eyes just in case if there is any make-up leftover. I'm so glad I've made the right decision to throw away all my facial washes for Cetaphil. I like the smooth feeling after I use it. For those whose skin is really sensitive, this is definitely your favorite one! I can't even wait for repurchase this one HAHAH. You can find it on Sociolla, Watsons or Guardians for around Rp.130.000. Quite pricey but seriously, this is a great investment on your skin. Trust me.

Micellar Water/Cleansing Water/Toner
Image result for the saem cleansing water
I use two brands. The one I left at home is korean brand's The Saem Healing Tea Garden Cleansing Water. It has 3 variants but I use the Green Tea one. So far I like it, very light and refreshing. It doesn't contain any alcohol so it's safe to remove your eye make-up. But if you wear heavy eye make-up, please rub it with make-up remover first. This cleansing water is infused with Boseung green tea extract and will gently exfoliates and hydrates your skin. I bought it on Althea Kr for Rp. 90.000 while on sale, the real price is around Rp. 180.000. The size is 300ml and I think it's a suuuuper good deal.

Image result for l'oreal micellar water indonesia
The second brand I use is the hyped L'oreal Micellar Water, the blue one, which is for Refreshing. What can I say? I loveeeee it so much! This is definitely worth every penny. I have a whole-day classes, so when I came back home my skin looks bad and oily and this thing saves my skin a lot. I use it twice even third times a day. First when I wake up in the morning, then when I came back from campus, and before I sleep. You can find it on Sociolla, Watsons also Guardians for Rp.129.000. But if you're lucky enough, you'll get the sale price until Rp.60.000.

Moisturizer
Image result for skin aqua moisture gel
The next is moisturizer, I also use two types. The first one is Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel, this one has SPF 30 so I use it every morning as a sun block before I go. It has a water-based gel concentration so it's very light on face. If you have oily skin, you don't have to worry about it cause it's water-based, it won't make your skin even more oily. I bought it at Watson for around Rp. 50.000 (if i'm not mistaken, it was a year ago).

Image result for nature republic aloe vera gel

The second one i use is aloe vera gel. Yes, it's Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel with 92% of aloe vera extract. This product has several benefits and basically you can use it for whole body, from hair to feet. I use it for my hair also. Again, it's a big jar of 300ml! I bought it for only Rp.60.000. You can search it on instagram's online shops or just buy it on Althea Kr.

Mask
Image result for skinfood rice mask wash off
This is one of my favorite part! I use masks 2-3 times a week, all are korean brands! I can't stop loving korean skincare. The first mask I love is Skin Food Rice Wash Off Mask, this definitely will make your skin smoother! With rice extracts to exfoliates, this also makes my skin brighter. Go directly to Althea Kr and add it to cart for only Rp. 96.000.

Image result for skinfood egg white pore mask
The second mask I use also from Skin Food, which is Egg White Pore Mask. Contains albumin rich in amino acids, great for reducing sebum and oil production. This one is good to remove pore clogging and excess oil. I also love this one, when I feel oily, I'll definitely use it. Again, find it on Althea Kr for Rp. 99.000

Image result for B&soap apate black
And mask isn't fun without a black mask. This one is B&SOAP Apate Black Mask. Contains Jeju Island's scoria, real charcoal, Kaolin and Hyaluronic Acid. This is definitely a must for pore cleansing. This will purify your pores from blackhead, whitehead and sebum. I can see the effect, sometimes I use it only on my nose. When I cleanse it, my nose become smoother and pores become tighter. This one is around Rp. 150.000.

Acne Care

Related image
Since my friend recommend me this one, I only use the Sariayu Intensive Acne Care. Kinda similar with Mario Badescu or Loria. You just use it on the spot of your acne and voila, it kicks out your acne. And the best thing is, it's only Rp. 18.000.

Treatment on Dark Spots

Image result for ultraderma
This is my only special treatment to my dark spots. I use UltraDerma Advanced Scar Formula every night before i sleep. I bought it for around Rp. 75.000.

As I said, i use moisturizer as sun block before putting some make-up and go. When I came back, I'll remove my make-up with cleansing water first, then cleanse it again with facial wash. After that I'll use a mask for 15 minutes and rinse it. I'll put on some aloe vera gel and let my skin absorbs it. The last step I'll put acne care (if there is any) and UltraDerma. Done, ready for sleep.

With one year of treatment, and using all of these products regularly, I really can see my dark spots are 80% gone. No lies. No endorsement on this. Using only one product sometimes won't give you the optimal result. But using several products together regulary really effects my skin. My skin becomes more hydrated, brighter, less blemishes and acnes, dark spots reduced, and better. And I'll continue using all these products because it makes such a huge differences.

I hope this post will give you a recommendation for your own skin care routine, because every skin is different so don't be afraid to try till you find something really suits your skin. Remember, the key is consistency. Good luck!

Summer Trip: TOKYO (Part I)

Hello! I'm back again after my long holiday which was busy with uni and stuff.
Around one week ago I just got back from Japan, seeing how my brother's doing.
If you haven't heard about it, my brother is currently working in Japan right now.
How? When he was in University of Indonesia, he got a chance to study in Japan for one year to Keio University and worked part-time in several company. Before his graduation, he applied to kind of Japan Job Fair which is opened for all around Asia. Now he's working in consulting group.

We departed at 28 June 2016 to Kuala Lumpur first and departed to Narita midnight. We landed in Narita around 7 AM (GMT +9). Japan is quite hard for us, international tourists. So, you need to prepare yourself. Why? Even the officers in Narita Airport cannot speak English fluently. So sad, I wish they could fix it. Some of them speak English but tbh it's really hard to understand because their dialect is sooo Japanese :(

The Silent KLIA

Sort of peranakan noodle with my favorite teh tarik

Keisei Line
Anyway, we went to Tokyo by train. Don't hope for taxi because taxi is so freakin' expensive, costs around JPY 40.000++ or  IDR 5 million to Tokyo (Narita-Tokyo is quite far). So make sure your luggages aren't really heavy or big, except if you join a tour.

FYI, just because it's summer, doesn't mean you don't have to bring jackets. When rainy, Tokyo is cold enough. Rainy day in Tokyo is around 20˚C and the Sunny day is around 34˚C. With only summer clothes like tshirts, cami, shorts, beach dresses, it's cold to walk outside. Don't forget to bring your umbrella or a hat and you better check your weather forecast frequently.

We stayed in my brother's apartment in Bunkyo, 650 meters from Nishi-Nippori Station. Spot the Tokyo Sky Tree?

First day was tiring so we slept all day and went grocery shopping only. The second day, we went to Nezu Shrine and I spotted the Shiba Inu and a fat cat! Nezu Shrine has the red gate which is very similar with the Fushimi Inari.

this garden will be colorful only in spring

Me and my father decided to go to Rikugien Garden while my mom came home.

this is artificial flower by the way

Random flower shop around

The hydrangea in Rikugien Garden!

When we went home, we bought a pizza from Domino's Pizza. Surprisingly the taste is suuuper nice. I ordered the Margherita one and it costs JPY 2500 or around IDR 270.000 for the medium one which is pricey since in Indonesia, Domino's price is just around IDR 60.000-100.000. Second day, we went to Ueno Park and Zoo! Ueno Zoo has pandas by the way, that's why they're quite famous.

So adorable

I'll talk about another day later. Thank you for reading!

University's Life

I'm coming back again after a long day that full of sadness and happiness in once.
As a senior high school student, we also know that the state universities are really hard to reach. They called it has a magic power. We can't tell who's accepted or not.

So today was a non-test announcement. I was on my way to school cause I need to see my grades on National Exam. I opened the website over and over again because it was crashing for many times. And I am really grateful cause I passed it!

God never stop giving me surprises each day. I couldn't say how much I am very very grateful of it. FYI, I already prepared for the other non-test submission, I cried at night back then so I wouldn't cry for it on the D Day. I didn't hope for this one at all. But, I got it.

I couldn't say much but thank you for my parents, my brothers, and my closest friends who can't stop supporting me lately. I also hope for the best to you guys and I really want to see all of us having our jackets proudly.

See you!

Holiday not Holy Day

Basically I'm on holiday till August. But sadly, I need to attend a course at 2-5PM everyday which makes me successfully being a caveman.

I sleep at 1AM and wake up at 10AM. I usually wake up and make toast bread with scrambled egg. Sometimes i skip my breakfast. Lately, i'm working hard to tone my body after Bandung Trip :') I ate so much from nasi kuning, martabak, bakso keju, cheesecake till pizza. Prom is getting closer. That's why.

My boyfriend also working hard on his body which is very thin. He's searching for gym from here to there with his friends. While i'm just doing 100 sit-ups + 30 mountain climbings + 20 crunches every night. Lazy ass.

I finally got the chance to wash off my shoes! I also painted my nails with nail stickers that i bought from Itsy Nail (ig: @itsynail). Trust me, it's a real and cute nail polish sticker.

Like what i said, I dyed my hair to blue-black because i'm sick of seeing the redness of my hair. But still i can't stop heat-styling it everyday. I guess it turns out neutral black in real. But when i did some selfies under the sunlight, it turns out blue-toned. Still black, but not in red tone anymore. I inserted the before-after pictures under the sunlight.

Then, I finally bought a clutch for my prom night. Now i'm waiting for my necklace to come. Lazy ass always shop online. I also registered myself to national ID card. Finally, after 5 months. I almost forgot that I am truly 17 years old. Damn.

I wish i could make some money right now. Lol.
Bye.

Bandung Trip 2016

Hello! Almost a year since my last post. I'm busy with universities right now. Lately i dyed my hair blue-black but it came off only neutral black. I guess my red tone was just too wild since i do heat-styling my hair too much. Sigh. I need to re-dye  it later. So right now I'll explain to you how me (and friends) went on vacation to Bandung for 4 days 3 nights!

So basically we already talked about vacation last month from Jogjakarta, Semarang, Bali, Lombok and ended up to Bandung. We also found out that Bandung has the most cheapest hotels and homestays than 4 other cities. Plus, Bandung isn't really far from Bogor. Opened Airbnb, we found Rhapsodic Stay as our decision.
Rhapsodic Stay APRIL 2016
Jl. Caladi Dalam No.54/151C, Coblong (0821-1570-7744)
1 bedroom for 3 persons
Rp. 273.000/night
Super cozyyyy

Tired of bringing our own car (since only Umi who drives well, and my driving skill is fucked up), we took travel car to Bandung (door-to-door system), which was Deva Travel. The service wasn't really good tho, the car also so-so. But the good thing is... it's the cheapest of all.
M-Go Travel (was Cipaganti) APRIL 2016
Door to door: Rp. 145.000/person
Pool to pool: Rp. 130.000/person
Deva Trans Travel APRIL 2016
Door to door: Rp. 90.000/person

See? After a long long long journey, we arrived at Rhapsodic around 9AM. I feel like I was home. The room is quite big for us, also there's a kitchen and free wifi. The owners (Kak Sendra and Kak Chris and family) are supaaa' friendly! Bandung was rainy back when we arrived there. With a rainy weather, it wouldn't be easy for us to go, but gladly all of us have Uber Car accounts. Let's start!

DAY 1
BOOM! It was raining at 11AM. So we ordered Uber Car to Rumah Guguk. Yay! The driver was friendly hahaha and quite patient since all of us can't stop singing everytime we hear a song on a radio.
RUMAH GUGUK
JL. Pada Sari No.23, Setiabudhi Atas
Entrance fee Rp.20.000/person

Our motto is: "We smell pets. We feel alive." You can found soooo many dogs there. I saw mini pom walking, chow-chow sleeping, red poodle in grooming, and still the best thing is PEKINGESE walking with her belly. The pekingese one, named Lala, has the most derp-est face of all and she's also photogenic and we love her. Really love her. I can't stop touching her belly and ask her for a selfie. She's so adorable I JUST CAN'T! AW! LALA IS DA BOMB! We also met Hiro, he's a super active big young malamute. Also when I sat down after calling the chow-chow who is always sleeping in the corner, a red poodle suddenly came to me and slept like she's dying. SHO KYOOT. We spent almost 3 hours to play with them. Hahaha.

It's Hiro. Trust me he's bigger than you see.

The-sleep-in-the-corner-chowchow. His name is Obed.

Around 3PM, we went to Paris Van Java, had a little shopping time and pizza party there. I bought cute hat, artificial flower, cute ceramic pot and sunnies. When we came back to homestay, it was raining soooo hard till my dress was very wet. So glad that I wore only flip-flop instead of my sweety white sneakers :')

DAY 2
Day 2 was the best part! We went on tour with Kak Chris, one of the Rhapsodic's owners. Again. We couldn't stop singing in the car. The first destination was the legendary Mt. Tangkuban Perahu. It has been a long time since I was 6 years old :') Arrived around 9PM in the morning but cold but sunny enough.

Thanks to Kak Chris for this awesome picture!

The next destination was Farm House Lembang! I love the the placeeeee. There are stores, restaurant and snack shops there. The architecture is really cute. Also there's a mini zoo and Hobbit's house. I guess it's perfect for family. Just check out the pictures, okay?

Oji's face is just priceless HAHAHAHHA

Basically it was the end of the tour. We went for lunch at Ayam Goreng Brebes based on Kak Chris' recommendation and it was surprisingly good! Again. I told you that they are very kind, he brought us to Lawang Wangi Cafe and Artspace. Sadly, it was a bit raining so the outside roof was closed. I googled you some pic.

Again, he's really kind and he brought us to Tahura aka. Taman Hutan Raya Juanda, there's a little coffee shop there. The ambience is good and super cozy. He also bought us banana fritters which is really delicious. Seriously. We didn't take a picture. So i googled it for you, readers.

He also offered us if we want to go to the Tebing Keraton next morning with Kak Sendra. So, yeah!

Day 3
We accepted it. Around 5.45AM, we went to Tebing Keraton. Arrived in the car park, we took ojek(s), if not, we'll lose the best moment. The view was majestic. Super majestic.

We went down back to the car park by walk. I hope i lose some fat. HAHAHA. Back to homestay, we bought nasi kuning as breakfast which only cost around Rp.7500-Rp.11.000. The taste is super good!!!

We changed our outfit and went to Braga Street. YAY! My favorite place in Bandung! Then, we went to Riau Street which is full of factory outlets, went shopping there, ate martabak ovomaltine at Marfee and went to Cihampelas Walk. Shopping again!

The paintings wall around Braga

Day 4
In the morning we went to Kartika Sari, then to Selasar Sunaryo Artspace since Umi really excited for it. The location is a bit far and you can't find any public transportation there. Gladly we found super kind, Uber Driver. He waited for us and took us back to the city. Plus, he gave us recommendation of good cheesecake in Cizz. So, we bought one for him, thank you, Mas Driver! :') Back to the city we ate at Nom Nom Eatery which is very near to our homestay. The place is cute and cozy. I ordered tuna sandwich with scrambled egg and it was extremely good. Sadly the tax and the service fee is just too high. Then we back to the homestay, had a farewell and went back to Bogor.
